‘unexplained’ allergies in our children and cancers in adults, coupled with the growing ecological impact of our reliance on oil and petrochemicals, pose some very serious questions. The arguments and our understanding will no doubt develop over time, but we believe that the risk of continuing the widespread use of synthetic paints is already unacceptable. We can say this because naturally composed alternatives already exist. We have sourced what we believe to be one of the best – Aglaia – and have
developed a range of natural emulsion and natural
oil paints in our own historic colours. Aglaia paints have been around for 30 years and have a
thoroughly proven track record, they are easy to use and have a full contents declaration. We offer a comprehensive range of preparatory products and can recommend the use of these paints in historic buildings.
